The Great white hurricane of 1913. This one of the worst storms to ever hit the great lakes. Waves exceeding 35 foot were present. Can you imagine the
impact this would do in modern times. Unlike ocean waves that roll in at 35 feet, these waves broke with water water at 35 feet. I can only imagine the
amount of water that must have been pushed from one end of the lake to the other. It's an interesting read if anyone has some time to spare.

The Gander Mountain in Portage, Michigan has a very limited selection of tackle at a crazy sale price. Anything with an orange or green sticker is 75% off,
which is good. But even better is that those items are usually already marked down 20-25%. But even better yet is the reduced price is ringing up 25% off at
the register, then they've been taking 75% off that!!!!

I have one of these rods in 6' ala Billy Westmoreland(if you don't know who he is you better google).
I am going to put a different reel on it and was looking for a less cumbersome wrap for securing it.
In the past I used nylon reinforced packing tape to secure the reel to the cork and then followed up with tennis racket tape. This tape is pretty thick and
builds up fast with a couple of wraps.

Anyone have a slimmer method?
