Strange kind of a year.

Work needs to be done when I can grab it and that hasn&#39;t really translated into good days and bad days to get some fishing in. Seems I&#39;m working during
good fishing days and not working during bad fishing days, weather wise. Funny thing though, while on the lake the past two times, and while the fishing was
not that good, the phone rang on both trips and I picked up two jobs as a result. So maybe... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Fishing has been a little slow the past two weeks although I did manage a four pound largemouth, Sunday, with a spinnerbait. Can count the number of fish on
one hand though. Water temps are running 56 to 58 with cold nights and 65 for highs with sun shiny days, at the present time.

I&#39;m still fighting a sinus virus thing. The Doc&#39;s can&#39;t do much for it and wicked is to nice a word for the stuff. It&#39;s a dirty little bug. Now

I&#39;ll have to say a spinnerbait has been very kind to me this year, not always has been the case in the past although never ever discount a spinnerbait as a
big bass lure in th Fall. Air temp 65 with a very cool north east wind 10 to 20. Which is where I found some good chunky bass, in the wind, with water temps of
63 and a bluebird sky over head. 9 chunky bass on the spinnerbait and one more bonus strike on a jig which was a big plus because I intensionally... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ With a rare opportunity to fish two days I took advantage and went for it.

Friday was the Carolina report but didn&#39;t give a very good report on conditions for that day.Low pressure, cloudy,drizzle, few rain showers, stiff
breeze,no lake traffic to speak of. You get the picture. Opportunity should have been there for catching a number of and maybe even some quality fish. And I
end up  resorting to a technique I&#39;m not very familiar with in the end to at least salvage a trip.... ]]></description>

One of those days.

I tried every thing in the arsenal, or so I thought.

Rod #6 in the boat is a Falcon Carolina rod and it is like brand new. I never have had the patience to fish a cumbersome (so I imagined) Carolina rig very much
at all.
<br>

But it is really not the size that I&#39;m so happy with or the number of them , which was 4.
<br>
<br>

<br>
It is that some how I managed,through luck or draw, to catch  fish on a Carolina rig today!

Wind out of the north 5 to 15
<br>
Biggest came hooked to a BPS Enticer spinnerbait on a windy flat with others hooked to a Larew t-rigged tube and a Larew  t-rigged Hoodaddy in timber, worked
very slow. Plenty of bait-fish for a bass to eat during this time of year but persistence and patience can pay off. Not a easy bite but some bites are better
than no bites at all.

			<description><![CDATA[ Another trip to new water and this time I decided to only fish legs of the lake that are fed by creeks, which there are three of those. One channel produced
some of those Largemouth that have a broad back which I was happy to see. A good sign there are some healthy fish in the lake.

			<description><![CDATA[ Triple digit temps have moved back in to Arizona so fishing was in the order for this weekend around Oklahoma.

100 and sun seems to be my breaking point these days.

Learning new water so it might take a while for a decent kind of report.

The lake is east of my location bout 65miles. 340 acres which is a good size for me. 3 good ramps with ample options to fish. Standing timber, rock ledges,

			<description><![CDATA[ The lake that I have been going to recently has really given up some quality fish but today I found out after a long drive, the ramp has been closed for
repairs. It has been a hassle launching and underming finally took it&#39;s toll on the old ramp and it caved in. I&#39;d like to think the state would jump
right on this project so I could spend the fall on that water, yeah right. I just reminded my self this is the state we are talking about here.

			<title><![CDATA[ Dog Days ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>We all have heard about the dog days of summer but there seems to be every year the dog days of late spring as well. Fickle fish. I saw lots of fish in the
upper water column that seemed to be in the defensive mode and un willing to bite. That includes Bluegill, Crappie and yes a Largemouth bass that lumbered past
the boat. You can not help but toss a lure at one of these lethargic fish, but none seemed to even notice the presentation of the lure. I did manage to pluck

There always seems to be some crazy loud bunch of people in a pontoon boat with a motor that fails to start. That after trashing a couple of good fishing

			<description><![CDATA[ More accurate, a afternoon in May. Because yes, like a broken record, on the back side of a line of severe thunderstorms, a frontal passage. A 25 mile an hour
north cloudy wind that had a bite to it. Hmmm. Should I go or should I stay. I ended up choosing the going. There is a saying that hangs on the wall in front

I did replace the broken spinnerbait rod with a Falcon, 6&#39;6&quot;, med./heavy, Low Rider, Herm Special. Looking forward to feeling a pull on the end of it.
