We started our morning fishing around 8 am. The water on Union Lake was crystal clear. Surface temperature was running 46 to 48 degrees. There were times we
had the depth finders showing 20 feet of water, and you could see the bottom. It was really deceiving the eyes too. You would be sitting in 7 foot of water,
and it looked like 2 foot.
Crawdads littered the lake bottom. There were dead ones, and ones moving all over the place. Which probably is why this is one of top smallmouth...

Tim and I arrived at Wampler's Lake around 1 pm after leaving Union lake. The water clarity was clearer than normal with about 6 foot of visibility.
Water surface temperature was running between 46 and 48 degrees.

We decided to do a quick zip around the lake with the trolling motor while fishing. We zigzagged back and forth across the flats and drop offs. Our best fish
producing areas were the 4 to 10 foot range.

Within the first 5 to 10 minutes of fishing, I had...

Just a quick report Wayne and I hit the water around 8:00 this morning I think we were fishing at 8:30 or so. Water temps in upper 40's with a slight
chop on the water but the chop was increasing all day. Up to about 3 ft in the later part of the day, the ride in was a bit bumpy.

We started out Perch fishing first thing. The Perch were on the smaller side but there were keepers mixed in too. We end up very close to our limit but
spent way too much of the day catching...

Went to Paw Paw Lake for my now annual birthday fishing trip. Ended up by myself, a couple buddy's ended up being busy. Got there around 6 am at the west
launch. Surprisingly the moon was out and it wasn't terribly cold, around 40-45 degrees and pretty windy out of the west. Started fishing right from the
launch in the channels because I've usually caught a fish or two in them. At 6:45am I landed my first bass on a senko casting into a leaf filled boat slip
spot not to far...
