Well, Dad, myself and James Degitz headed up to Erie with Jonesy on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday morning we got and and fished just a few miles south of
the Detroit River mouth. Not much doing other than Brad catching a nice 5+ smallie(hopefully he'll post a pic) and a few others. At around 1:00 we decided
to pull and head up to St Claire. We put in there at around 2:30, the first spot we went to a caught one fifteen inch smallie James Degitz caught a nice 2lb

Well we can't say that we didn't catch any fish because we didn't try. We fished hard saturday and for the time we were there sunday. With the
water being muddy like it was i wish I would have made that lure and color change on saturday. i think we could have done better. Sometimes you overlook the
simpiliest things. I would like to thank Brad and Mike for taking me along and putting us on some fish. I had a great time and hope we can do it again.
Maybe before it gets...

Zach,
Make sure your Dad gets ahold of me before you head to Colchester. It does not fish as it did in years past. There is an area close by that holds them good,
but Colchester is a lot different.

to Colchester. But I don't know anything for sure.

We were also up at the mouth on Sat. morning, the the bite was slow most of the day for us also. We were a mile or so inside of Jonesy fishing in 12 to 14
feet of water. We ended up we 16 smallmouths and 5 largemouths, biggest was maybe three pounds or so. We saw Jonesy drive right by us with another boat right
behind. The highlight was my eight year old son caught 7 smallmouths and a couple of green ones while I struggled with 2 total. I will post pictures as soon
as I figure out how....

Thanks for the report Zach. The one photo is real familiar to me. I fish out of that Sterling Ramp all the time. Problem there, is it's hit or miss.
Sorry you guys didn't get on them real good, but that's how it can be. You can go out and have a bad day, and someone else can be knocking their
lights out. Those fish tend to move a lot, and the clearer the water the better. Just remember the odds will be in your favor if you go back. It will
probably be your turn to have one...

In hindsight, we should have stuck to the mouth of the river and the river. I made a bad decision by leaving it. Sorry guys.

Not sure how big this one was but just after the picture I hooked another that was considerably smaller and it went 3-14 on the scales. This one had to be
around 5.
