Lake St. Clair Monster Muskie Caught |

Huge Muskie was caught on Lake St. Clair this week. I don't have the picture yet, but I'll get it up as soon as I do. Here's the stats on the
fish.
48.60 lbs 56 1/8 in 26 in girth caught by Tony Jaros, Fish was released.

That would exceed the Michigan Great Lakes record.It would have, if this one hadn't been just caught this month. 50 lbs. 8 ounces out of Torch Lake

I saw the story on that Torch Lake fish. Remarkable!
Thats to take nothing away from the St. Clair monster. These fish are a couple of dream fillers. |

50 lbs. 8 ounces out of Torch LakeNever heard of Torch, not surprisingly. I understand it's an inland lake. Why would it be considered to have broken the Great Lakes record? |

Great ski! I was at a fishing show in Chicago a few years back and they hand baby ducks lures wrapped in rabbit fur. I asked if it was a novelty and he said no
they use them when they hatch out.

Like Nate mentioned Marty. I'm not sure if that would be the case or not, but Torch is connected to Lake Michigan. There are certain strains of Musky
too, and from what I've read the one on Torch was a Great Lakes Muskie. I'll see if I can dig up some of that material again. One thing is for sure.
It's a Lake St. Clair record.

Torch Lake also has some monstrous smallmouth.
Some circuits in this area use it for their classics. |
