My buddy and I finally got a chance to go fishing together this year and we decided to make the trip up to St Clair. We got to the launch at 9 mi around 7:30 and it was cool and foggy and the wind was NE around 7 mph. We started in 11-12 ft and on my second cast I got a little small mouth but couldn't get bit again. We drifted for a while and tried different baits with no luck so we made a move to a little deeper water in 14-15 ft. We came across a area with good weeds and I hooked up on a 2 lb smallie and one 3 1/2 -4 but that was it. We made a move and I finally got a good smallie but Scott had yet to catch a fish. We worked the area and I caught a couple more and Scott got his first fish a little muskie and then a rock bass butt we where there for smallies. Around 12:30-1:00 the fog lifted and it was dead calm and sunny and we could see in the bottom in 15 ft. We found a good looking spot and Scott got his first smallie a nice chunk 2 1/2 -3 we worked this area and continued to catch fish including both of our big bass and a northern. We had a great time catching up on things and fish even though the bite was tough  it was well worth the trip. Here are a few pics of our better fish
