You mentioned Sterlingworth and bells and whistles went off in my head. I don't remember what it was but at some point in all my gun trading I had one.
At the time I was doing all this trading I was just a dumb kid that was enamored with cold steel, bluing, and walnut. I wish I would have kept the Fox even though it didn't fit me.
The only guns I passed on to my son were a Stevens Crackshot 26 (a really short, lever action .22) that was my dads and grandfathers, a 12 ga. Winchester pump, and a varmint rifle that I made from a Mauser action, bull barrel, and laminated stock fitted with a Leupold scope. This was in 6mm. I would back away to over 250 yds for a woodchuck shot. Longest ever was 403 yds, a lot of luck involved.
