as the water was only 53 on sunday the smallies are still suspended over the 15 ft mark. the ones we got were still dark and only the smaller ones seemed to be ventureing up shallower. Also my boy looked all over for crayfish along the shore and only found 1 so they and the shad are still suspended or deeper. silverbuddies are great and my personal favorite a 5 inch swim bait for both walleye and smallies. they just like big baits i guess. we had a slow day sunday with most bass comming in 15fow and eating a 4.5" tube. Nothing great but i did get some crappie on the tube that were real good sized.

guys dragging bait rigs were getting some eyes that were 14-16 inches but didn't see or hear of anything bigger....but there there! a little sun will go a long way. Not one of the smallies i caught had either a scrape or a rough tail so they are just starting to think about it. oh yea bring on the wind...was like glass out there and that makes it tough out there!!
