It was announced that Gamma is getting out of fishing, but BassFan reported today that rather than giving it up, they may sell it off.

It's also inexpensive, especially when considering the quality of the line.
Different strokes for different folks, but I thought it was overpriced. I'm not the most knowledgeable user of line, but I couldn't see any better qualities in Gamma than ordinary Stren.

I definitely agree that line selection is ultimately based on personal confidence and self-conducted research.

However, in price comparison between Stren Original Monofilament and Gamma's Copolymer line (330yd spool of 8lb test), Gamma costs < $1 more than Stren. So as far as it being to highly priced I disagree. I also think that Gamma's slightly greater cost can be negated throughout prolonged use without re-spooling, as I believe Gamma has much less spool memory.

Gamma's Flourocarbon line, on the other hand,  is much more expensive, and personally wold not recommend it as I've not yet used it.

I was unaware of Gamma's current business status, it will be interesting to see what changes arise from this.
