Well as we thought the weather played a huge part in our failure. We did manage to call 6 in and got one shot off but we had very little blood and didn't find it.. It was just too cold, and the zero wind didn't help at all. You have to have a little wind so they can try and circle down wind of the call. With out that they won't commit. Just like a beagle can't sniff out the bunnies when its this cold, either can the yotes. The whole hunt started out bad. We had to be at gander mountain to be released at 7:30 thursday night. They have a special package you have to use with foam in it. Well no one there knew what we were talking about. Finally a off duty manager came in to check the mail because they haven't checked it all week. So an hour behind we swing by Mcdonald in a hurry to get me a angus burger. And they forgot to give me my french fries Isn't that kind of what there know for is there fries? I mean they come with every meal. Ohh well I went friless. The state of MI makes it hard to kill predators. They really limit your fire power at night for some reason. We could have probably killed several of the ones that came in but hung up a little far. They don't let you use any buckshot at night and can only use a rim fire rifle at night. If we could use buck shot that one would be dead. And if I could use my .223 the ones sitting on the butts in the open at 100 yards would have been toast. Well hopefully any ways. Ohh well we didn't have to drive to the bridge, and still had a good time. Very very cold though.
