Brad I hope you are right, but the lake has been getting progressively worse for the last 4 to 5 years. The state spent quite a bit of money putting huge aeration systems in last year in hopes it would be keep the algae down this summer. Now the algae is worse and they are finding thousands of dead fish on the shores. They are blaming the farmers that are south of the lake. The county south has one of the largest livestock population in the state. All the runoff is flowing into the lake and feeding the algae. The federal government to just allocated $1 million to giver to farmers to help keep runoff from getting into the lake. They are looking in to putting aluminum sulfate in at a cost of $1.7 million for a 40 acre test spot. I hope they can get it figured out.
