for what its worth....
had 1 years ago and it just seemed like a heavy rod. it was a 6'6" spinning with a TD 1300. it always just felt heavy.  i had an issue with the cork handle as it started to kinda crumble. they told me that was normal wear (1yr old) and not warranty   no problem!
25 rods later (no more falcons) i have found myself looking down on the deck and seeing a lot of crucials. i really have no brand loyalty..just looking for the right tool for the job whatever it be! i also tend to be rough on stuff but have had no issues at all. They are about 20 bucks more than a falcon but still cheaper than what you've spent total.

the one time PRICE issue of being a couple bucks more is alot cheaper than the COST of owning a headache!
