Best way that I can explain is mid channel of a feeder creek. If your not use to fishing these types of  man made  impoundments, then that might not make any sense at all. There was quite a bit of shad jumping this weekend so it may be near a spawn. Really though, as the water cools a little in to the eighties I like to pick around in places where I can smell  Bluegill. Which is further back in the creeks in the dirty water. But that's just me.
