This is a link to Ohio DNR,, they have a Falcon Facts page with pictures and habits of the Peregrines. It has a good one that talks about falcons and bird feeders. Seems as though its a common mistake on confusing the cooper and falcon. It has some good pics also.

It is possible that you did see a falcon visiting a time or two at your feeder,, but its not typical for a falcon to hunt in that manner. I am not a expert on them,, but I have been dealing with coopers for some time since I have had pigeons since high school. That has had me up close and personal with them. The bird feeder method is a FAVORITE of hawks!!
