What a pleasure to finally meet, and fish with Cary Cavacini.
Cary was kind to join me for a day on his lake (paradise). Our original plans were to start fishing around 6 am. I couldn't stand tossing and
turning in bed long. I ended up going a little early, and arrived on the lake around 4am.
Picked up Cary dockside at 6 am, and was greeted by Kate and Megs. Two beautiful hunting dogs.
Cary's been really wacking the fish the past few trips on the lake,
so we headed over to one of his honey holes. It produced right away for Cary with bass on the wacky worm. He also hooked up on a darter. We soon found out that
the fishing wasn't going to be so easy. Bright sunny skies, no wind, and crystal clear water made the bass leary of every boat around them. We had plenty
of other anglers on the lake too. I'm sure they were experiencing the tough fishing too.
We worked several different flats and drop offs, producing fish here and there along the way. We didn't catch any photo worthy fish during the daylight
hours, but we sure had some good conversation, and a good time on the lake.
Water temperature was running in the low 70's.

We decided our next fishing trip together might be during the night hours. The larger fish were biting during the low light. Below are a couple photos of bass
that were caught prior to the 6 am meeting with Cary. I was playing with the new camera, and the slower shutter speed. So I appolgize for the little blurr. I
was moving in the photo.
First one came on the proto type spinnerbait that was just made Saturday. The second one came on a Japanese topwater around 5:30 am in front of Cary's
little paradise cottage.
