Finally I get to post a fishing report, but not a very good one. I didn't catch anything in an hour and 15 minutes of fishing. I decided to try this lake because there is a pretty good drop off right next to the launch and some weeds in the summer. I've caught plenty of fish from shore as a kid at the launch. So thats the only place I really tried, fishing from 3' to about 15'. I drilled about 10 holes and the ice was 12 inches. The winds were strong out of the north and the air temp was about 15, so around zero or below windchills. I was never cold but my line was freezing quickly along with my guides and the blowing snow was filling in my hole quickly making jigging tough. I used my favorite Lindy Rattlin Flyer bait hoping for perch or ?? a rainbow trout?? I also tried a Rapala Rippin Rap just because. I want to try it for walleye somewhere but am pretty sure there are none in this lake. Just thought I might get lucky with something biting it. That was my trip. I was out there alone and didn't see any recent tire tracks at the launch so it must not be a very popular ice fishing lake. Nice to get out but that hour was about plenty for todays weather conditions.
