We fished what looked like the Mississippi last nite. There were 19 boats and no one had the real answer for fish.
One boat had 4 very small fish for first, then a two fish for second, and my partner Dan kept our string of checks alive with big bass which also gave us a check for fourth.
I never put a keeper in the boat although I had 2 quality blowups that never connected. That paid nothing!
With 45 mins left I moved us to an area that was not in our program for the night. We immediately started catching dinks and our only red eye for the nite. Just at the end of the drift and with 10 mins to go, Dan bent the rod on a very good fish in very fast current.
It took 3-4 mins to land this 2-15 SM that was using the current to his advantage. We put her in the box and hightailed it for the landing.
