The Northern Christian Bassmasters held a team tournament on Coldwater lake yesterday. It would turn out to be the worst turnout of the year only 3 boats were
able to fish.
We launched at 7am and headed straight to a flat at
the other end of the lake. Right away we catch a few shorts and four or five big pike. The biggest of the shorts was a 13.5in smallie. We fished this flat
for about an hour, then we moved in to fish the piers, as usual. We went back by the ramp and tryed the piers on that shoreline. Rightaway I landed a nice
keeper.
We kept on th this shoreline a
little longer with no success. Next we went down by the gas pump and fished the little channels there. Right away I lose what feels to be a huge fish under a
pontoon, so I throw back in there and end up with a very chunky 13.9999999 inch fish. Not what I was hoping for.
We then decide to go into Shawnee Shoals and as always we catch nothing in
there
. Now we decided enough folling around, time to go into our
honeyhole channel. we end up catching three keepers out of the left branch and we went into the right branch which is usually the better side, and only catch
one skinny keeper. Weigh in time.
Dad and I came in first place with 6 fish weighing 8.25lbs
Bigbass went to Al Hutson and Joe Clark 2.5lbs
Last regular club tournament of the year next Saturday on George.
