Decided the wind would be too much on Saturday, so we tried for some nightime crappies instead.
Started off fishing in 20 feet and my dad got a keeper in only a few minutes, and then shortly after another. Got two in the bucket and things started to slow down, drilled a few more holes and started hole hopping and got one more. Moved across the lake a little and got a 7 incher really fast, and then nothing. Moved again to a spot where two guys were fishing earlier and found them. Sent our bait down and they would fly up and take it, caught 5 in 30 minutes, but only two keepers. Then like a switch they shut off, still marked them but they wouldn't bite (wondered if they were gills?) after none for a while we packed up at 2:30 am.
All fish were caught on Gold Diamond jigs and a lively minnow, not a bite on waxworms.
Biggest was 10 1/2, smallest was just under 9
