Me and dad arrived at hurshtown at 6:45 am as it opens at 7:00 am. There was already 5 or 6 rigs in line to put in and more were arriving behind us. It's a trolling motor only lake, so as soon as we put in we started fishing. There is a little flat out in front of the boat ramp and we pounded it with everything we had. Jerkbaits, rattletraps, jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits with no takers. After that we just decided to pound the rip rap on the shore. Long story short, the resivoir is 2 1/2 miles around it, and we fished probably 3/4 the way around this thing only catching one little smallmouth that was about 12 inches. I caught him on a 4 inch senko. Other than that nothing. I don't think I'll be back for a while. There was probably 40 guys out there when we left and only saw one guy who did any good and he had his limit of walleye.
