Fished our club tourney yesterday with another one of our club members, Mike Robertson. It was on Big Turkey lake and neither one of us knew much about it.
We started the morning off by motoring out of the bay by the ramp and headed tward some islands not too far away. The weather was cloudy with a slight breeze,
which I thought was perfect for some topwater action. I was right, the 10 inch bass were EVERYWHERE. We could have thrown anything and caught them. Long
story short, Mike caught 1 keeper on a senko and I caught 1 keeper on a trick worm. We easily caught 50-60 bass saturday, but only had 2 that were legal size.
The guy who won the tourney was fishing as a guest, and he had a 4.3 lber. He won big bass and 1st place with that one fish. It was definitly a slow day for
keeper size fish.
