The weather was rainy and cool at take off. Not a lot of wind though. So, I figured the jerkbait bite on James would probably only produce little fish. Off
to Snow lake we went. There I threw the wacky and Gene tossed a topwater. We both began catching fish but they were short. Finally Gene boated our first
keeper. Fish were relating to pads and boats and docks for me. He was tossing into the middle of the channels. He then hooked one around 2 1/2 pounds but it
came unbuttoned. From there we went to the flats in the lake and I caught some shorts on a shaky head. We then hit two points on James but came away with
more short fish. It seems the boats that headed to Snow and James didn't fare as wells as those who fished Jimmerson.
My zipper broke at the weigh in and I left so I don't know what won.
