I had a wrench thrown in my plans for Friday fishing, so I decided to make a quick night trip to Pretty Lake in Indiana. This lake is roughly 300 miles from
the lake I fished last weekend. I guess you could say I'm expanding the radius of lakes I'm fishing. This was the first time I've fished this
particular lake. The lake is roughly 200 acres in size and has a 10 mph speed limit on it. Water Clarity is really good. Extremely Clear! I was pleasantly
surprised to see some nice weeds lines, and deep weeds. The only problem was they were recently treated. All the weeds I pulled up were dead. Water surface
temperature was 71 degrees. Winds were moderate.
Time Fished: 8:30 pm till Midnight
I'm not sure what's going on, but he bite was just off for me yesterday. I do like the look of this lake despite the lack of bites I got. There was no activity on the surface which is usually a sign the fish are in a non-active mode.
Managed 5 bites. Landed all 5. Four were largemouth, and one was a legal walleye. The walleye went in the box for a while, but was released after I couldn't manage any company for it. It measured a meager 14 1/4 inches long. Below is a photo of that fish. The largemouth were all between 12 and 14 inches long. Caught fish on a spinnerbait and tube.
OBTW- It was chilly with that wind blowing.
