Like Bruce, I only had morning hours to fish today. I was hoping to hit up a new largemouth area that popped up on my radar. Then I thought better of it given the limited amount of time I had to fish. I hit the big water this morning, and there were some residual 3 footers still rolling around. Those quickly died down to 2 foot or less. It made for pleasurable fishing. Just one problem. The wind was blowing out of the southwest, and the water was really stained bad with a foot or less of visibility. This is generally not good for smallmouth fishing. I hit probably 25 gps spots from near the Spoils to Bolles Harbor. If I could have only turned more of those sheephead into fish like this one below, it would have been a good day. However, that wasn't the case. Smallmouth were few and far between. Fished 25 foot to 2 foot of water looking for anything that would pay off. Burned a lot of fuel looking for those
