If you could go on a fishing trip anywhere Canada, Minnesota, Florida, etc and you could pick 5 others guys, 3 guys to a boat who would you choose and why??
1) Bob Knight, I have grown up an IU basketball fan and after reading Bob's book and realizing not only how accomplished a fisherman he is but also he is very big into WWII history. I think the conversation would not only great stories about his coaching career but great conversation on history and life.
2) Bill Dance- He has always been my fishing hero since I was a little kid. I can't even imagine how much I could in a week about fishing from him. I'm sure the stories he has of how he got to where he is absolutely unbelievable.
3) Joe Torre- I love the Cubs but this man would probably be one of the most level headed and down to earth guys around. he probably could share great stories about his Hall of Fame career that would just make your jaw drop.
4) Tony La Russa- Any other Cubs fan would have smacked me for saying it. I would love to share a boat with Tony, he coached one of the most winningball clubs in baseball, he's won a world series, and he has lived through many ups and downs in baseball. I have always viewed him as a very knowledgeable person but also a true class act.
5) Tiger Woods- His stories would be incredible (not counting his recent personal life) and he is a very determined man, he won't quit so we wouldn't go home without fish. I would love to here what it's like walking down the fairway at Augusta, how he won a US Open on a broken leg, and how he's came back on a Sunday afternoon and robbed so many of a victory. His determination and will would just make the trip outstanding.
